What is the Women’s Empowerment Group?
The Women’s Empowerment Group is designed for adult women that wish to connect with other women on a variety of issues. Topics may include working through pain experienced in past relationships, defining our own identity in relationships and feeling comfortable in our identity, discovering ways to balance the demands of work and personal life, sharing successes and challenges in our career and developing ways to expand our social network.
Who will benefit from this group?
● Women that continue to be affected by unresolved pain from previous relationships.
● Women that wish to break negative patterns which cause them to make unhealthy choices.
● Women who have not received closure from a previous relationship which may cause
difficulties in forming new relationships.
● Women that have experienced sexism in their work environment or feel disempowered in a
relationship.
● Women that would like to find new ways to balance their career stress with dating, marriage and maintaining a healthy social life.
Where will this group meet?
The group will be held at 180 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 916. The building is located at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Lake Street with easy access to public transportation.
When will this group meet?
The group will begin October 1st. We will once per week for 60 minutes for 6 weeks in the evening. Please note that the first meeting will last approximately 75 minutes. To achieve the most effective group results, we are asking group participants to commit to all 6 weeks.
What is the cost to participate?
The cost of each group meeting is $30. We are considered in-network with many insurance plans and group counseling may be covered. Our billing office will submit the paperwork to your insurance company. Please contact Justin Tobin & Associates to find out your benefits and eligibility.
Who will be facilitating the group?
Jackie Zagrans is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is a psychotherapist at Justin Tobin & Associates and has experience working with women that are adjusting to a new phase in their life, recovering from pain experienced in relationships and defining women’s roles in dating, marriage and family.
